Gaming Headset

I'm looking to get a new gaming headset, and was wondering if anyone had experience with any (good or bad)?

I only have onboard audio, so either USB or 3.5mm will work just fine. I want circumaural (I had my inner-ear replaced when I was a kid, so circumaural makes it easier for me to hear).

I have 0 experience when it comes to good brands/features for headsets, so any help would be great!

Oh, and the cable has to be at least 9-10ft long.

I also do a LOT of tv episode watching with these, and i'm getting a new 1080p 24" monitor in a few days, so I wouldn't count some movie watching out of the picture either.

Don't know much about them myself, I use a bluetooth earpiece (sometimes) on my PS3. Did a search and found a few on Newegg with pretty good reviews. Links below.

Edit: only problem is the cords aren't 10ft.
