Default Routing the front speakers through the PSW303?

    Hello Polk friends,

What are your thoughts about routing my Rti8s through my PSW303? Is there a difference in sound? I've read varied statements.

Currently they're routed straight from my receiver in a 5.1 setup.

    Thanks in advance.

Don't worry about speaker level connection...it's an ancient method and not worth the time. It's a method to ensure that all the people still stuck in the 19th century of hi-fi know what to do when they buy that new fangled thing called a subamawoofer.

LFE and Sub Output is the preferred connection amongst modern animals. It won't be changing anytime soon, so you're ahead of the game.

    Default Yep.

Those were my thoughts, but my buddy repeatedly told me it's the way to go. I'm going over to his place this coming weekend to see how he's connected his HT. Should be interesting.

Your Onyko TX-SR607 has the high pass cross over build into the reciever ,so they really no point .running the wires though the sub will just use the sub crossover and you don't need that since your reciever will do that for you .Just run the
Audyssey 2EQ it automatically determines the number of speakers connected, their
size for purposes of bass management, optimum crossover frequencies to the subwoofer
, and distances from the primary listening position.Audyssey 2EQ then removes the distortion caused by room acoustics by capturing room acoustical problems over the
listening area in both the frequency and time domain. The result is clear, well-balanced sound for everyone. Enabling Audyssey 2EQ allows you to also use Audyssey Dynamic EQ™, which maintains the proper octave-to-octave balance at any volume level. At least that what the manual says. You would only need to do that if you had a old amp ,but you have a new one ,the same one I have.I like how the Audyssey 2EQ sets everthing up.
