It did work fine, nothing was changed.

Receiver is an Onkyo TXSR705

I'm not getting anything out of my sub. It's hooked up correctly (LFE, I did try a different cable w/ same results) and it has power (LED's are lit up)....I cranked up all the levels (including the sub setting in the receiver)...when calibrating speaker levels in the Onkyo, I get a very faint (barely audible) sound through the sub (even when it's cranked)...not the rumble I used the get.

Do you guys think this is a sub issue or a receiver issue?

Have you set all of the speakers to "small" in the set up menu?
What is the subwoofer crossover frequency set to in the set up menu?
You can test the subwoofer by connecting the left and right audio RCA line outputs from your DVD player directly into the filtered line inputs. Set the volume control to 10 o'clock position and turn the low pass crossover dial fully clockwise. Keep us posted on your results.

OK, think I narrowed it down...I ran a CD player to it w/RCA's...still only a REALLY faint sound...even when it's cranked all the way up. So I guess it's an amp issue (in the sub)?

Connect it in place of your right or left loudspeaker and see if the condition changes. The CDP is a poor choice as the output voltage is usually too low.

Do you hear any buzzing or rattling at these lower levels?
This would indicate a blown driver.

ok...tried that. Hooked up the speaker wires from one of my front speakers into the speaker input on the sub...played some music. I can hear the music, but still it's really faint, even-though the sub vol is cranked.
