1. $1900 - 2000
2. $2000 - 2200
3. $2300 - 2500
One pair of tl's went for just over $1800, but they less than pristine.

FYI - There are two pairs of the SRS 1.2's for sale on Audioweb.com for $1,500.00 per pair. They are in Houston Tex.

I fail to understand why some people are having such a problem with this guy and his asking price, it is after all , a fair price to ask. I have the feeling that if he started the auction at $500.00, but had reserve of $1995 you would all feel better. That is just fuzzy logic!!! If you owned them wouldn't you want to get what they are worth? And they are worth every last penny of the $1995.

I'm not saying that his price is unfair. But if you have an auction end because people don't match your price, and you then try to resell them as another auction for more money, maybe I'm the one that doesn't get it.

The lesson that he should learn is that if you sticker shock your audience, you're going to see your auctions fail (as his have).........

That's a fair statement and could very well be the reason they didn't sell, but he also says that he will not ship which I think is foolish and could be the reason they didn't sell. Maybe we should send him a email to tell him what he's doing wrong.

I agree that his auction tactics are not very good. High starting bids and/or reserves just turn bidders off.

IMO start modest, let the bargain hunters drive up the price and let the snipers take it home and you should get a good result.

BTW Big Dan, finally saw that you wrote audioweb not audiogon... there are two SRS's on audioweb, but that's what they are, not 1.2's. Kinda funny that the same guy has two pairs up.

Big Dan....just as an FYI...don't do ANY deal with Scott (wangotango68). The phrase "Crash and Burn" comes to mind when it applies to Scott and the way he screws people over here and on other boards with sales transactions. Other than that warning....Welcome to the boards......:)
