Default New setup need some info

I just picked up my first set of Polks from newegg. I have 2 monitor 70' for front left and right. CS2 for the center channel (this is really huge and doesnt fit our entertainment system and is low on the WAF - might have to go if I dont get a decent TV stand). My receiver is an Onkyo TX-SR606. I plan to get monitor 30' for the surrounds and for the woofer I am thinking of going in for the PSW-111 simply because its smaller. Space is mainly why I am thinking of the PSW-111 instead of the 110. Any suggestions for all of the above, stand/30 for the rears instead of 40/woofer choice is appreciated.

Anyone? Also will Rti4 be mismatched if I choose that instead of the monitor (30/40) for the surrounds.?

Welcome to Club Polk, and very good choice in speakers. IMHO, the Monitor series is hard to beat for HT for what they cost these days. Do yourself a favor and buy your wife some earings or something, anything it takes to keep that CS2!! You don't want to downsize unless your life depends on it. Something like 50-75% of audio is formatted to play through your center and the CS2 will not dissapoint. As for your surrounds, the 30's are wall mountable via the factory keyslots. The 40's are not as easily mounted, but it can be done. If not, get yourself a decent pair of stands and call it a day. The 40's aren't much more than the 30's and for twice the speaker, they are very much worth it, IMHO. Sub shouldn't be an issue, but keep in mind that the 70's will dig almost as deep as the 111 will, so stepping it up to even the 110 would be a slight improvement. Of course you would set your 70's crossovers to 80hz and everything else would be sent to the sub, but either way you should be good with the 111 or the 110. Hope this helps.

Yes, different tweeters. Stick with the Monitor 30' or 40's. Timbre matching isn't as big a deal with your surrounds as it is with your front 3, but doesn't hurt to keep it in the family, lol.

Thanks for the response. The surrounds have to go on the wall so I will probably get the 30s for now.

M30s are good as surrounds...no problem there. I run those myself and I don't feel like I'm missing anything back there. Good Luck, and Happy listening...hope your wife doesn't freak...M70s/CS2s take up some space.
