    Unhappy Need help! rti issues

i came home yesterday and discovered my left tower(rti12) is not making any sound.....but the bottom three drivers are vibrating as if theyre getting bass notes but not sound out of any of the speakers or tweeter in left tower. My towers are ran thru a kenwood amp(2ch) then thru my hk 354 via rca interconnects, the amp meters showed full power going to both spearkers.

this is what ive done so far
    1.reconnected ALL connections,insuring they are solid/snug.
2.rechecked all avr settings to make sure all were set to play thru front towers.
3.bypassed amp and hooked straight to reciever to disqualify the amp as problem source.

I have no idea what has happened but i believe something inside has come loose(wire connection) somewhere or there is a problem w the internal crossover maybe?Im guessing this because the left tower is the one i scoot back and forth to get behing the tv to do any cable mgmnt.I know what blown speakers sound like and this is not it,theres no distortion at all .

    So....any ideas,solutions?
any idea were an authorized repair place is around central indpls?

have you switched positions of the speakers?

sounds like a crossover issue or a loose wire internally.

just move the speaker to the side that is known to work and try it there. If it fails, then something inside has gone haywire. A call to Polk CS will help you figure it out from there.

I am not certain that will be needed. If they determine a crossover is in order, they may just send you one. In the meantime, pull a couple drivers and check the wiring to the crossover.

the crossover is inside the speaker, most likely on the terminal cup, if you remove the lowest driver from the cabinet you can shine a flashlight inside and find it easily. The troubles may just be a loose connection at the crossover. Is there a line fuse for the speakers? My amp has main fuses and two for each channel.

Polk CS without hesitation sent me 1 tweet , 2 mids for my A9's. Woke up tweet was tinny and high pitched and mids were dead. Wonderful people!

that should be a torx bit not an allen. a t-12 or 14 I think. if it is your xo its not as hard of a fix as you might think and with your club discount it should cost you about 45 bucks. with some tips from the fellas here and polk cs it took my rookie ass about an hour and a half to do, and I found doing it myself to be very rewarding in many ways. here's the thread when I did mine
