    Default Help wiring Atrium 60

Just got a pair of Atrium 60,s and I'd like opinions on wiring them. I have a "rock" speaker that I got from Tweeter, so I use it on one channel. For the other channel, should I A) only use one of the Atriums or B) use both of them. If I use both Atriums, how would you recommend wiring them?

FYI: I previously had a cheap pair of outdoor speakers that I ran together with the "rock" speaker and they worked fine. I had them wired in series.

    Thanks.

Unless the "rock" speaker is better than the 60s (doubt it), I would connect both 60s. I would connect one to the right and one to the left. You run into problems when you start connecting in series (increases ohms) or multible in parallel (decreases ohms).

Hope this helps and good luck.

My dilemma is that the "rock" speaker works perfectly by the hot tub so that I can hear music while enjoying a nice soak. While the 60 is probably a better speaker, there's nowhere to mount it close to the hot tub.

I agree with you on not only running into problems running them either in series or parrallel, but also using totally different speakers for the left and right.

I may just have to give up the "rock".
