    Question Two sources one Speaker

I have both a stereo receiver and a 5.1 receiver and was wondering if i could hook both of them up to the speakers at once being that their are 4 binding posts on each speaker if i take the gold connectors between the posts out. . . . is this stupid ?

I wouldnt say stupid...impossible yes. The posts are for bi-amping which is a whole other subject. If you insist on doing this find a speaker selector with enough outputs...never really heard of anybody doing this but Im sure someone has.

For your Rat shack banana plug:

Cut your speaker wire to the correct length to make the connection between your amplifier and your speaker.

Strip 3/8 inch of insulation from the end of the speaker wire so that the bare wire is exposed.

Slide the jacket of your banana plug over the leads of the speaker wire.

Insert the bare ends of your speaker wire into the banana plug. Place the plug into the crimper and close tightly.

Tug lightly on the wire to ensure it's connected. Slide the jacket over the connection and twist it on. Your connection is complete, and the banana plug is installed.

    Google is your friend.

I would listen to the guys in the know on this one. Sounds like it could be a recipe for disaster.
