Thumbs up George Daniel - I bow to you, again

Hooked up the Wright WLA12A tonight and well, DANG! With just 1 minute warm up time I am blown away with little guy.

Biggest soundstage I have heard so far in my system, highs are so smooth and airy, bass is just right and detailed.

If only it had a HT bypass and remote. Now what to do between the Wright and the Anthem. With very little listening I have to say it is putting a hurt on the Anthem Pre 2L but lets see after it gets warmed up if I still feel that way.

The volume knob does not require much to really increase the output. More sensitive than any pre I have tried so far.

That George 'll never steer ya' wrong. He might feel you up with a **** eatin' grin but he's as good as gold when it comes to audio. Hell of a guy man, hell of a guy. Congrat's on the new toy.

Thanks Tom. I am dumbfounded about the Wright. I have only read about airyness around instruments and being fast. I now have experienced it.

So far I have I have listed to vinyl and a CD, amazing sound !

George, There is no way Benny can make this pre sound better;)

    Hey, I tried V-caps too.

I will not be touching this piece of equipment but I have been advised there is an artist that can squeeze more out of it.

Everything is nicely warmed up now. Listening to Johnny A Get inside and it is like he is right there sitting in front of me.

The thing that has me floored is how quiet it is and how the highs are so clean and detailed.

Thank you George and Dave for the OK to jump on this.

I have NOS Sylvania 6SN7 GTBs coming.

A few reviewers seem to think you have to be careful in system matching with the Wright....has this been the case for you?

My AMPs input impedance is 100Kohms which from a review I read said you need at least 40-50Kohms input impedance.

No issues for me at all except deciding to keep the Anthem Pre 2L that has HT bypass and a remote or the Wright.

Right now the Wright because of how much it has raised my systems performance.

Absolutely George. We agreed on that when last spoke.

The way I see this playing out is it going to Benny and I will use the Anthem in the mean time and then sell the Anthem once the Wright is back.

I do need to PM you on something else.
