    Default Pioneer Elite VSX 49TXi

Hello, I am looking and thinkning of buying a new receiver. The Pioneer Elite VSX 49 TXi. I have a price of $2699, does anyone have any feed back on this unit? I am now using to powere my speakers and other rooms the H/K 520 with a PA4000 power amp.

My speakers are, RTi70's for my fronts.
    CSi40 for the center speaker
    PSW 650 Front sub
    FXi50's Side rear's
    FXi30's rear speakers
    PSW 202 rear sub

I don't feel that I am getting the best sound from H/K. Don't get me wrong the sound is the best I have heard but, until I heard The Pioneer Elite the H/K are just a low level sound system.

Please any help would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Kris,
The 49tx1 is tough to beat! I've had the chance to listen to one and I really like the features. As with all electronic upgrades, try to audition it in you're home with your music/movies, and your speakers

If you can get it for that price, just buy it.It retails for over 4 grand.
Not to mention it's one of the very best receivers on the market today.
You don't need the HK for the other rooms, just the amp.The Pioneer Elite is multiroom

Mantis is used to seeing Tweeter/HiFi Buys selling everything at list price. ;-)
The price you quoted is actually pretty good. Email me off list and I can tell you where to get the 49txi through an authorized dealer for $2644 shipped. Also, take a look at the B&K AVR 507. I did a head to head of the two and prefered the B&K overall. $2669 shipped on the B&K. Also, through an authorized dealer.

I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I love those prices don't get me wrong,I'd buy in a second but they also make me nervous.
