Time for a tv stand

Well after sitting and looking at my system sitting on a computer desk. I decided next week I am going to break down and buy one. I have two concerns though. With my center channel now going to be much lower than directly in line with my ears, how badly is the audio going to change? As of right now I do not have the calibration mic but will probably order one in a few weeks. With a big receiver like my pioneer is head going to be an issue with less than an inch of clearance over the top?

don't know what kind of stand your looking for but this one is built like a tank, holds plenty of gear and lots of room for a big center on top. also makes cable management a breeze

Very much out of my price range also I did post one that I am looking at. There are similar ones at big lots as well that I am looking at for around the same price as well.

Look at Walmart too BAF, I picked up a really nice stand with the mounting hardware for up to a 60" for $200. It has wood trim and easily fits all my gear. Best Buy is usually pretty expensive for TV stands. Look around for used too, I have one just sitting around that is just like the one you listed. Too bad you're in Jersey . . .

Check Craiglist. I got mine brand new, already assembled and delivered for like $70? I'll try to remember to post up pictures tonite. It's pretty nice.

Ya really would be nice if you where closer. I looked at walmart yesterday they have a few good ones and will keep them in mind.

I just got one similar to that, but with oak instead of brushed metal. Once it's set up and everything is mounted i'll let you know how it goes.
