hmmm, interesting..
Ausdio Advisor has them $99 for the 15amp

That's not cheap but as it works so well, it seems like a winner.
That's seems like a good tweak!

I wonder how that would compare to a PS Audio Soloist, which I plan to use when I get my electric done running 3 dedicated 20 amps to audio equipment. I just need to have main electrical panel redone first out of space, or this would have been done already.

how do these compare to a whole house conditioner?
http://www.powersavestore.com/power-save-1200/
does it do the same thing as far as filtration or would a guy need both?
Impressive demo of line noise. However, if one has a Panamax, Monsters, PS Audio, etc. etc., it will address and filter this noise, no?
Price is the selling point, IMO.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.
Pretty cool and not a bad price to get that much noise out of the line. The snake oil folks will claim there was a hiss generator behind the camera that was turned off when he plugged recepticle into the power bar. :)

Yep! Here's what you didn't see in the demo. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

How odd....I just ordered one of these and got it yesterday.
Bought it for the outlet I plug my sub into - the one running the rest of my rig is tapped out - I don't want to recreate the Christmas tree incident from Christmas Story! :p
Got lots to do on the 'honey do' list - I'll try to get around to swapping in this outlet later this weekend.

quite honestly theres not going to be much i cant build my self. the premis behind this doodad is a good idea but im afraid you would need capacitance larger than the little box could contain to asccomplish its claims. noticing that the rest of the products are wind and solar oriented i wonder if it has something to do with the dc to ac conversion and the assumption that there is an existing capacitance bank involved that might make it function more efficiently. inine with generated power (that doesnt have miles of convaience to settle down) might show some erratic characteristics in its self. ill give it a whack and see what happens. for 20 bucks? why the hell not.
I'm sure it's something I wouldn't like to build as we are talking some serious juice here.
I add this thing is pretty heavy given it's size, something is in that thing for sure. It's not just an empty steel box with a light.

seems to me the recepticle filter thingy would be better as a breaker if its in parallel thereby conditioning the whole circiut at the breaker box. it must be a proximity thing and not be strong enough to filter the whole system. if thats the case what happens if your power cord to the appliance is longer than the proximity limits allow? also it would be interesting to see the conditioner plugged in -after- the noise monitor. if its truly paralell?
I have no experience with the MIT or the PS Audio product other then the demonstration shown by the OP.
IMHO, though I do not not think it overkill because even a dedicated 20 amp line is going to have noise on it due to the nature of the electrical power grids and distribution. I know the power here in Newark, DE is very noisy. If I were to go by price and a name brand that I use (MIT for all my cabling), I would go with the MIT in that the 20 amper is $150 compared to $250 PS audio 20 amper.

Then you have this thread about the Soloist outlet.

Joe, being that MIT is making nice audio cables which I know. How can they put the same level of electric / electronics in a single receptacle box, if you look at what's in a PS Audio Soloist?
