Ridiculous. More people advocating a life of paranoia. Just what modern society needs.

And seriously, a HUGE percentage of people are gone from 9AM to 5PM every freakin' weekday. How is this any different than saying you're out for a drink somewhere? (Putting aside the comments about "no one cares what you're doing").
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I think they are doing it more for awareness (according to their site). In todays world, thieves will use any edge to rob your ass.

Yeah, I read their mission statement or whatever. I don't blame them for being "irresponsible" or anything, I blame them for promoting paranoia. I find it ridiculous how many people think someone is watching their every move waiting for the moment to rob them / rape them / murder them. No one gives a **** about you, and if they do, the chances they'll get what they want from your Twitter feed or a post on Polk Audio are WAY lower than the chances they'll just get lucky and stumble onto your empty house by accident.

Let's face it. Everyone knows when most people work, and where the
better subdivisions are. Your only real protection are watchfull neighbors.
Mine is full of home office and stay at home moms.
Also, most people that rob homes aren't exactly genius level.
It's all they can manage to download a little porn. Forget all that
high tech crap. Most robbers are dope heads and HS dropouts.
If they had a PC, they'd hock it for cash. Smart guys make big bucks
stealing all that online info, not busting into homes with the knuckle draggers.
And they get maybe probation or a couple of years. Home burglars get the
    book thrown at them.
