    Default Predators (sneek peak)

Hmmm, no way are they going to top the original but this does look like it could be entertaining.

Looks like a reboot. I'm thinking with the cast they selected , it should be at least good. I will see it as I own all the others.

Once again thanks Ron for the link

With Robert Rodriguez at the helm I can't say I have very high hopes.

Rodriguez isn't directing, just producing/writing. Nimrod Antal is the director... and considering his only other American films are Vacancy and Armored, I'm a little concerned. I mean, Vacancy wasn't awful to me, but I hear Armored is kinda' weak.

Still, what they showed in that sneak peak looks pretty damn cool! And I like the idea of humans being taken to an alien planet to be hunted by multiple Predators.

Never said he wasn't talented, there's plenty of talented people who don't fit my tastes. Robert Rodriguez is one of them.

Highly acclaimed is a bit of a stretch as well.

El Mariachi, Desparado, From Dusk til Dawn, Sin City - all great movies directed by this guy.

Of course he also directed Spy Kids, and then decided that he like that so much he made parts 2 and 3, so I suppose he loses some cred there.

I credit Frank Miller with Sin City more than Rodriguez, though I did love El Mariachi / Deperado.

I guess I mostly have a bad taste in my mouth from "Planet Terror."

Planet Terror was ball-smashingly awesome. Are you still pissed that it just happened to rip off your face while you were watching it?

I gotta say I'm glad they're slowly walking away from that atrocious Aliens vs Predator garbage.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Dang, man, this group of actors looks so wimpy comparing to the original one. I mean, Adrien Brody vs. Arnold Schwarzenegger? Watching the trailer, I didn't see any muscle at all :D And you want me to think these guys will kick the Predators' arses? :p

Im not much of a movie reviewer but here goes----------This movie absolutely sucked. I repeat do not waste your money. It had no storyline & the only thing cool about it was that it paid homage to the original by mentioning it for 45 seconds and it had the original score. This is by far the worst of the "Predator" movies. It was kinda like Lost meets Predators. Throw a bunch of people who know nothing about each other & have them fight some predators & figure out how to get off the island(or planet). One of my friends who I saw it with has never seen any of them & said it was horrible, I offered to let him watch my DVD of the first one & told him that was the only one he needs to watch of the series.

As if trying to replace an Arnold like character with Adrian brodi wasn't bad enough, I knew the movie was gonna suck pretty bad once I saw topher grace from that 70's show pop up on the screen.

Arnold, Jesse Ventura, Sonny Lindham, Carl Weathers > Adrian brodi, Topher Grace, & Morpheus

I was told my several people not to go see it and one person even threatened my life if he found out that I had wasted money on it.
