I find myself buying at least 4 or 5 cd's a week "sometimes less". Just wondering how many other people buy or order.

I usually go to a local discount store about once a month and pickup about 10 CDs. I was bored tonight and ordered 5 online via amazon.
Generally 2-3, but sometimes more, and sometimes none at all.
I also buy a lot of box sets...which can be anywhere from 3-10 CD's...so I don't know what category that would fall into exactly.

I go in bursts too. Sometimes I'll order 4 or 5 at once, but then will go several weeks without purchasing anything. Lately I've been downloading dozens of Floyd and Zeppelin shows from the 70s, which is much easier on the wallet ;)

I voted that I barely buy CDs. However, I was buying one to two CDs a month not including several SACDs per month when I was a member of Yourmusic.com. Alas finances prohibit this practice at the time.
I have however purchased 25, 50 up to 100 LPs a month but again, finances prohibit this practice at the time. GG was my main source and I get an ache in my heart not being able to help out the Glithen's Center. Hopefully the financial situation will improve and I'll be able to go back to my music purchases as well as my obsessive gear upgrades.
Log me in as rarely buying CD's...mostly because I have all I need, not because I don't use them :)

If it ain't on VINYL I don't want it. I might buy 2 or three cd's a year.

I can't really answer this poll since there's no option for my situation. I buy a CD whenever an artist I like releases an album. There's no real formula to how many I buy in a week could be several....could be none. I used to blind buy a lot when my local mom and pop record store was still in business and discovered a lot of great bands that way, but they're long gone now. I visit a lot of music blogs now and sample some of the music that way. If it's any good and I'll listen to it I go out and support them by buying their albums
Nearest one on the horizon is the new Band of Horses album coming in May.
Almost never. Unless something is good at Goodwill. I bought 30 cds there once, all classical for $.90 a cd once though.

John, just curious...Do you have any SACD's, or an SACD player? If so, hearing some SACD's may change that thought a bit.;)
I tend to vastly prefer vinyl to redbook CD's, but nothing can touch SACD's for SQ in my experience.
Seriously...If you haven't experienced SACD yet, you really need to! SACD's sound best when being piped through SDA's too, of course.:)

I rarely buy redbook CDs. I tend to rip my own from vinyl. I will buy SACD titles when it's something I like, but those are few and far between on the weekly basis.
I rarely buy CDs anymore. I only buy when something that I consider worthwile comes out, which in the past 7 years is very very rare.

10-12 a week or thereabouts. Rarely less, but sometimes more.

SACDs sound great. I would put SACD on a par with vinyl. They both sound awesome but different. There still isn't anything that compares to the vinyl sound. IMHO, the big difference between SACD and vinyl is that SACD presents more weight to the music but lacks the open, airyness of vinyl.:)
Without the snap, crackle and pop but with mo' better natural, flowing and complete bass.
In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

I don't suffer the snap, crackle or pop except with very old, very played out records, of which I usually buy a new one if I love the music. Keeping the records clean and stored properly usually keeps the noise to a minimum.

At any one time during the week, I have at least 2 to 3 CDs in transit to me by FedEx, USPS, or other carriers.
On the other hand, I hardly buy new CDs at brick-and-mortar stores. Used CDs at my local music store....yes, but I hardly ever buy any CD from Walmart/Target/Best Buy.
I usually buy from fye because they have them for 10 bucks each. Once in a while walmart but if I can I like to use amazon.
