My warranty on my DLP is going to run out next month. Is it worth it to pay 100 bucks for another year, or should I hope they made a good product and pass on the warranty. How many of you go for the extended warranty??? Thanks.

I typically don't buy the warranty on stuff, but on something very expensive like that I usually do. Typically, around $1500 is usually where I draw the line.
I just bought a new washer dryer set for almost 2K, and decided to pay the $169 through the warranty through Best Buy.

For $100 it is not bad. I would say if you are not good with fixing electronics then get it. I did not have the warranty on my dlp and have had to replace the lamp as well as the color wheel. It is basically like opening a computer and fixing something. If this intimidates you then get the warranty. If not you should be able to fix anything that goes wrong with it.

I know I wouldn't have a problem changing out the lamps, looks pretty simple. Maybe I will just take my chances, and say hell with it. Thanks for your responses.:p
