Question Just wondering what y'all do with speaker grills...

Just wondering whether there is a big difference, like 50-50, or what...

Yeah, so speaker grills on or off?

I generally have mine off when I'm listening. They have a slightly more open quality in the high end with no grills on.

Plus, I just like the look of nekkid speakers.:)

On, always. My hearing isn't good enough to notice any difference and I think they look better with them on.

Most people just listen to music and watch movies . I am glad to be a part of a select group that tries to take our auditory and visual senses to a higher level: we EXPERIENCE them.... GOT SDA?...GOT SUNFIRE? ...GOT Maggies?

On always. I have a cat that seems to be oblivious to my shouts of anger and subsequent tossings of him into the next room when he hops on my speakers. I can't hurt the little guy (so please no advice in that direction), so I have grown accustomed to the tears in my grill covers...

Jason, have you tried the cold water in the spray bottle approach . . . that is harmless and gives the little claw bearer the message that he won't soon forget.

Hmm, I have not actually. He is a stubborn bugger, but that might just work as he despises getting wet.

Thanks Joe, I'll have to try that tonight. I had resigned myself to getting them re-covered once he quit hiking up my speakers, but I don't think he's going to quit on his own...
