What is the best AMP for RTiA7?

Hello,
I bought a set of RTiA7 here in Poland, which is quite difficult to do. I bought HK AVR 260, thinking I will be watching movies, but it turns out That I what I really wanted is to listen to music. I have had the system for 3 months now, perhaps 30-40 hours of warming up time. I have to say that the speakers play OK, but nothing special. I am a musician and was really hoping to enjoy the music, and because of reviews I decided to buy them. Is the problem the AVR? and/or the short time of warming the speakers? What would be the best amp for the RTi's? I really want streo feel. I will lprobably wire throught pre out on the HK AVR to the amp.
can anyone help me, because I feel like I have waisted my money.

first off welcome to polk and you did not waste your money. Every speaker has its pros and cons and alot of people agree that polk sounds better with Home theater. So if you listen to more music than HT then i would look into an amp that sounds warmer (marantz denon). If you have the means then get two amps, one for HT, and maybe find a tube amp (carver) to listen to 2 channel stuff. This is what i want to do with my set up because i love the sound of the TUBE. I use an onkyo 805 and i think it sounds bright for music but perfect for HT. Instead of getting new speakers i want to get a tube amp for serious listening. Hope this helps and again polk makes great speakers but everyone is different and you are the one that has to live with them so i recommend this for now and later get 2 new speakers for music, and you will already have the warm amp.

If you can get a Vincent audio hybrid solidstate/tube amp you will be ready to go it's a great amp at a fair price.
