Mine had SL2500's. Not sure about replacements, never had to replace any. Call Polk CS and see if they're still available.
Ludicrous gibs!
I bought a pair of monitor 10 series 2 recently. The guy i bought them from said he had blown the tweeters and had them replaced. I havent opened them up yet, and was just curious what the proper and/or replacement tweeters were.
Take the tweeters out (it is easy; just unscrew 4 screws carefully) and see what they say on the back. Then call Polk CS at 800-377-POLK and tell the nice people there that you are a member of Club Polk and they will help you right out, and the last time I did that it was 20% off and free shipping (but they do charge tax in all 50 states, I believe).

I would jot the serial numbers down and have them ready for Polk CS to look up the correct tweeters. The other fella may not have replaced them with the proper parts.
The Monitor 10 Series II's were the last run of the Monitor 10's. My original drivers were all dated 1991, and the tweeters were the SL2500's as stated before. I don't know if Polk has replaced them with a different part number in the meantime, like they did for the SL2000's.
They looked like this -
Note the foam ring around the tweeter.

Series II Monitors used the sl2500 originally, very similar to the sl3000.
IIRC, the RD0198-1 is the correct replacement part.

Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it.
