24 x 36 x 10(12)...man, where do you people come up with rooms the size of small apartments or some peoples single family homes? I'm always amazed by such rooms...

Is that ONE room or is it a some kind of Great Room that is open to dining rooms and kitchen so that the whole is close to 900 sq. feet...or 9-10,000+ cubic feet!

No one sub could handle that....some good suggestions above. I like Xcapri's best...you're going to have to do this ONE sub at a time and you won't notice big sound until at least the SECOND sub.....you may even need 3 or 4 in such a space if you're a big HT guy? Slowly...but steady...spend your first 500 on one GOOD sub then save for another of the same variety....we should all be so lucky...the largest room in my house is only 25 X 11.5 and that's only because I knocked down a wall!!!

Good Luck.

Take a look at the Elemental Designs A3-300...300watts and 12" driver.
Total cost shipped 550.00. All reviews I have read on eD subs have been positive. Also, you can get the A3-200 for 350.00 and possibly go with 2 of these over time.

Crutchfield has a deal for ya - Get a free Polk PSW111 subwoofer when you spend $499 or more on select Polk home speakers.

There you go! 2 birds, 1 stone!

The 10" Velo is a great sub - it gets my vote as well!

I don't think that's going to be half the sub that the OP needs for his gigantic room.
