Default Emo and its slow shrimp boat from China

I was abt to pre-order 2 of the Emo upa1 mono blocks and according to their web-site the expect delivery date will be 02/15/10 which is cool with me. Then I did a bit search further, the previous expect delivery date for pre-order was 02/15/08 . Now that's a turn-off that no Viagra can help, Emo.

I do not want my $$$ to be tied up for 2 years . Not even Pass or Krell!

I am not sure i understand. Is this thread made for the sole purpose of talking trash about emo? Not that I am here to defend them but this seems rather pointless.

Be nice, now. OB will not appreciate that comments. Hope and Change, remember!

The last thing OB wants is the people of Rep. of China redeem all the IOUs, so-called T-bills that OB owed them up to his ears.

I'm not sure if I want to respond, but I will assume you were sincere and say you should re check your research. I think you have info about two different products combined, maybe the UMC 1 (pre-pro) with the UPA 1 (amp). I don't think any of the UPA line even existed in 2008. If you are serious that's only a wk. away, why not just wait until they have some in stock. Either way good luck.

its probably a typo. As far as I know and have read the UPA-1's were just an idea that happened in the late 09 when they talked about them and stated they would be coming out around now ect. it was on their forums and information over there.

http://emotivalounge.proboards.com/i...ay&thread=9003

here's a thread that talks about the original preorders and when it went public. typo.

1.You have option to leave the LED on or off.
2.Optional black handles.
3. Under $300.00 a pop for each mono-block.

It's a no brainer. It's not going to be the 7 BSST or the Cary 500 mono block but at the given price point, I will be happy to wait for the ship to come. No complaints here. Just wish Emo people use motorized boat that is surely sailing faster then paddling .

Some people are very touchy and so self defensive. Geez.

I remember back in the day when " made in Taiwan" was a dirty word on the back of the piece of audio gear. Today, I'll be glad to have gear made in Malaysia, Singapore and mostly Taiwan.

No, I mean " slow boat" the word " junk" will be remained to be seen after I get a hand on the UPA1, so called mono-block. Is it Junk or Is it not? Will let you be informed.

How is the milk in Taiwan, ANW ?

I wasn't touchy or self defensive. Maybe I am being a little now so just to set the record straight. I was trying to help you out since you were looking, it showed interest in the product, and it looked like you had incorrect info, I was just trying to correct that so you could make your decision, what ever it may be, with valid data. I thought that's what this forum is all about. I do not get paid by anyone to sell any of their gear, so I do not try to sway anyone one way or the other. Peoples gear choices are made with their money and they are the ones that have to listen to it, so I tend not to make any recommendations, only offer any knowledge I might have that may be of help.

As I said, what ever way you go Good Luck.

My comment does not direct to you . Please do not take it personally. I am pre-ordering the UPA1 and I believe at given price point, they will do just fine.

No worries then, Emo doesn't accept any money for pre-orders, they will contact you when it arrives for CC info.

I hear you and I pretty much agree. By Junk, I was not talking about the amp but about the actual name for traditional Chinese boats (junks).

I haven't had any milk in Taiwan yet...except in Lattes which are fine.

To tell you the truth..I'm in Taipei for a week and I'm really enjoying it more than living in Beijing? It's easier to negotiate..less crowded, less polluted (oh it is still polluted but not like the mainland.)

Hope your unit makes it soon. I'm back to Guangzhou, China in a couple of days then on to Shenzhen and Hong Kong for a bit.

The weather here is mid 70s...a relief from the North!

Whine? Who whines? More personal attacks? Let's talk audio. Let's begin from low-end to mid-end and hi-end. Your pick.

Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. There's shrimp cabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burgers, shrimp sandwich. That's about it.

I love Taiwan compared to China. My trips over that way usually consist of a China tour (Shanghai and surrounding cities, Hangzou, etc) and then Shenzhen.. The over to Taichung, Taiwan. Taichung is quite a nice city, really.
