Hello, I dont know if this is the place to post this, but it said hobbies, so I figured it would be kosher . Im an "amatuer" guitarist and i already have an amp that i use, but i wanted to make a tube amp combo, i have the amp already, im gonna rebuild an old RCA Hifi (basically just save the trannies and output tubes 6v6, the preamp uses 6cg7's, i dunno if im gonna keep that or not...) and a cabinet that was left over from an old project, (10x12x5 1/2"thick) Its basically gonna be a practice amp, since its only 10 watts or so, but I want to make the most of it. I want to get a high efficiency driver(s) and perhaps use some damping material on the inside walls of the cabinet, since I like my sound a little warmer <deeper>. My question involves the drivers, I looked into getting maybe 4 4" midbasses with a port, or just a single 8" sealed, i think thats the biggest i can fit. I figure the multiple driver setup will have a bit more punch, would that be right?
