Default Time to upgrade DVD player

I want to upgrade from my Toshiba SD-3109 to one that has DVD-audio. I see a lot of players also have progressive-scan but that does me no good being that i don't have a HDTV. I would like to get the best possible picture for my rear-projection set though.
any suggestions for anything around the $300 range?

Thanks

vic

hi peterng,

do you have this multi-player. it haves all the right stuff, i wonder how it will hold up, and the built quality, and the sound quality on cd play back. if it is any good at all at that price it would be a steal.

thanks
