Okay, so I'm eyeing a DBS receiver, not one with an HDTV tuner, but it does feature Component Video Output.
Hooked to a Digital TV via Component Video, would I notice a significant improvement over an S-Video connection with this "standard" resolution DBS receiver? |

you should notice a big differance in picture quality since componant is far more better than composite or s-video.i have dish network satillite service the picture is ok thru s-video but i have been looking for a sattilite reciever with componant hook ups too. tell what brand are you looking and what is the price and where did you find it i am really interested in getting one of those because i there would a large differance in digital picture quality.. you get it if you can

I do not think there will be much of a diff. unless the actual channel is broadcasting in HD and I only know of a couple and they only broadcast HD in a 2 hour primetime. 2cents
