Default An SDA question

I have been running an old pair of SDA-2s(which i really love) with a Carver m400t amp. I have recently dragged out an old pair of McIntosh mc250 amps and put in place of the Carver. I am running these as mono amps...one on either side. This works only without the crosstalk cable and you loose that nice soundstage of the SDAs. Is there a way to do this and keep the crosstalk? I am not a technical person so the simpler the better...

I'm not an SDA guy but why would monoblocks make a difference?? IF the SDA interconnect cable is in place it shouldn't make a difference, should it??

There is something called an A-1 interface transformer that you need to use with non-common ground amps. Polk can sell you one - or, if you go to the yahoo mikespolkpage website, there is a technical description/design that you could probably put together yourself.

If you have the interconnect cable that has two blades, you are SOL.
If you have the interconnect with a pin and blade, you are in luck but you are in for some work.
1. You can look and look for an original Polk A1 interconnect cable (very rear to find one for sale)
2. you can make your own.
Making your own is easy, call Ken Swagger at Polk he can fax you the material list and directions (these are also at Mike's Polk SDA group at Yahoo)
