Default Mitsubishi 62'' 1080p DLP vs. Sony 60'' SXRD

I'am going to be looking into getting a new T.V. in the next few months and these two have really caught my eye, also the 61'' JVC HD-ILA but I really haven't heard that much about HD-ILA so I'm not so sure about the JVC. so I would like to get some of your thought about these 3 displays and and any others that may have gotten your attention, also is there any new stuff coming out any time soon, a couple of years ago when I got my 60'' sony not a month after I got it I started reading that every thing was going with HDMI, DVD player, recievers, everything, and my sony only had DVI so I felt like I got burned and I don't want to make that mistake again

New models are coming in the next month or two, so I'd wait for them. Better performance and the prices will be dropping.

DILA... *shivers* no thanks. I prefer picture quality. They have more pixelation than any tv I've seen. Plus they are insanely to bright. No detail at all with anything in the sunshine.

Mitsu... they'll never be the same ever since they moved their production to Mexico. Wouldn't spend money on it.

Sony... still the only company with a quality video processor these days, not to mention a phenominal picture on the SXRD. The only TV out that's getting close to CRT quality blacks and colors.

But I'd definitely wait for the new models in a month or two.

Sony without a doubt. Mit has a quality control problem on all there DLP'S. Due to a poor foam surround around the fan area dust gets in & forms dust balls on the inside of the screen. My friend just experienced it with his 62" & the service tech confirmed the on going problem. He added more foam to try to correct the problem. My friend isn't too happy w/ the problem so he called Tweeter where he purchased it & they gave him no problem at all & said come back & pick out another tv & we'll make any adjustments necessary. He thinks Tweeter is also aware of the problem hense no hassle at all about returning it. I have a Sony 50" LCD & couldn't be happier with the picture quality. When it comes time for me to purchase a new tv, Sony will still be #1 in my book. They are still the one to beat.

I just recently purchased the Sony 60" SXRD, and it is hands down the best display I've ever had. The picture quality is addictive. They are coming out with a new line of SXRD's very soon, so I would either look for bargains on the present line, or wait for the new ones. Cast another vote here for Sony

Sony SXRDs seem to have "green blobs" on some of the units. I have seen this on many on display at best buy and circuit city. wait a few months and see if sony can fix them with the new models.

your sig says SXRD LCD. That's incorrect. It's based off LCoS technology, not LCD.
