I have a dumb question, How heavy are the Polm/Momo 12"subs?
I came across some Fosgate 10" that had to have been nearly 20 pounds a piece and was curious if the Momo's are just as heavy. Told you it was a dumb question. |

the momo 12 is about 16 pounds.
keep in mind a few things... fosgate's got a thick rubber boot on its voice coils, baskets are often made of different metals - and the basket material has virtually no effect on the power handling/ beffyness of a speaker - and the cone of most RF subs are a heavier material (which is actually anti-productive in good sound quality ventures). Add it all together and that probably makes up 75% of that 4 pound difference.
