If connecting the RT2000p's through "Sub Out" on receiver to line in on speakers...should i remove the gold jumper connectors on binging posts or leave them in place?

The owners manual says to remove the metal straps when using subwoofer output on receiver to line level input on speaker. I have used this method with my 2000's. However, I seemed to like the sound more, via speaker level inputs. But I also have dedicated subs to handle the lfe. The manual also states, that when using a dedicated subwoofer, speaker level input is recommended on the 2000's.
