Matt,
The Rockford Fosgate 501bd has a power rating of 500 Watts into a 2 Ohm load. I would recommend setting the gain on the amplifier to the 1 o'clock position and use very little or almost none of the "Punch Bass" EQ. This will help to prevent clipping the amplifier and reduce the chance of distortion when listening at high volume levels. The end result will be a clener, tighter bass response. We use rubber surrounds on the MM120's. Are you installing these subs into a sealed or bandpass enclosure? |
