This is how it looks in Jan 06
The CAL Delta is sitting on a selfmade airbladder device (using a bicycle inner tube)
I love my Adcom GFP-750. Amazing coz it sounds like nothing.
My previous power amp: McCormack DNA-1. Served me loyally for about 8 years...
My previous setup: DNA-1 driving the LSi-15
The newest addition to the family: CIA D-100 monoamps.
A close-up....
I upgraded from a Hydra 4 to the Hydra 6 as the D-100s require an additional socket.
My former beloved speaker system: JM Lab Micron Carat paired with Kinergetics subwoofer system.
One part of the Shun Mook spatial control kit.
A ikea beech chopping block sits below the CAL Delta now.
1 little piece of wood on each amp makes the sound a little more organic and fluid. El cheapo Shun Mook? So long it works, I don't care.
All the connectors are situated low. I am using the XLR input version of the D-100s.
I use 3 blocks of wood to raise the Delta. Perhaps when I have the time, I would experiment with other footers. Maybe DH cones or the likes....
The silent running but absolutely necessary Hydra 6. (sold)
The towering LSi-15. I luv the way they sing ....with the high damping factor of the CIA D-100s, the 8 inch woofers are pounding harder then ever. The bass is now deeper and has greater impact. Marvellous!
Anyone who is looking for a new amp shd listen to the D-100s. At the price, they are such a good value. I have no idea how Dusty do it but they sound even more powerful than the mighty DNA-1.
