The Oracle Alexandria is now gone. It was a nice table, but too finicky. I wanted something simpler, that wouldn't make me question the adjustments every time the weather changed. Enter the venerable VPI HW-19. This is a mk2 variety with the lead ringed platter. Both the motor and bearing on this table are essentially new. That alieviates any anxiety on the reliability of this table.

Sumiko FT-3 tonearm, with Audio-Technica OC9ML/II cartridge. This combo seems to be a perfect match and works very well with my preamp's phono section.

Although not a pretty as the Oracle, I much prefer the simplicity and the sound of this combo. Getting into a Low output MC cartridge is what really made the difference. There were only a few choice of cartridge that would have worked well with my previous SME Series IIIs (mostly High compliance), this Sumiko is at home with a wide range of carts.

Wide angle view from one of the corners. Unfortunately, I couldn't put the surrounds quite behind me. Hopefully when I install the rear channel speaker, it will blend in a little better.

Look, I can watch the bigscreen while I'm cooking in the kitchen!

One of my RT25i, demoted from fronts, to surrounds. I'd have liked to put them a little lower, but that damn alarm siren is in the way.

Another one of the recently demoted RT25i. They are hanging in there with their heads held high despite the blow to their ego :)

Here is the new SVS 25-31 PC+. It fits perfectly behind my loveseat. Unfortunately, there is no way to get corner placement, but it still really made a difference in the sound of my system.
