I'm just a blue collar guy who loves light and sound. I guess it's kinda flashy but I just love it here none-the-less. This is a 2-bedroom apartment in Las Vegas so this is as involved as my equipment will get until I buy another house. I have a fantastic veiw of the surrounding mountains and the Las Vegas Strip from this crib (yep, I'm hip) as well.

Sony ES component and Polk RT based system. A very nice compromise between practicality and quality.

From my throne.
"Toto dude! Like I don't think we're in Kansas anymore man!"
|
I restore antique radios. They play as well as they look. They make great decoration for a home theatre audio/visual motif.
|
I've managed to save all but 6 concert tickets through the years. These start with Blood Sweet and Tears/Spinning Wheels tour 68/69 and the original Jesus Christ Superstar the musical. I still go to live shows but its mostly jazz today.
|
These black light posters are copies. I have the original 1971 versions in a portfolio under my bed. Everything on this wall is an audio/visual theme dedicated to both the old and the new.
|
The Polk FXiA6 Surrounds are not properly placed as tradition might have them. They do clear my head but just barely and the drivers face inward. I had RT7's sitting on stands back here but they demanded too much real-estate. Still, I am more interested in audio, including SACD 5.1 than I am in home theatre. There-in lies the compromise.
The photographs are mine. I'm an avid Grand Canyon Backpacker and nature photographer. They will be re-arranged to accommodate sound defusing material when I get something for that.

The black light on the wall and a small string of LEDs on the back of the TV give me near perfect low-cast lighting either for robust movie watching or meditation listening to some Krall. Ain't bad for fits of Aerosmith either. This wall of color extends to brilliant colors of Hi-Def TV screens across most of the wall.
