STRENGTHS:
easy to install, looks good

WEAKNESSES:
cannot handle a lot of input power, sound is not that great, just ok sound

REVIEW:
not as good as i expected. believe me, no one would have done as research as me before buying speakers. i was about to buy the tc60i, then i thought about buying rc80i, finally ended up buying this. these are not that powerful but are cheap. if you want good sound, spend some money and buy the tc60i or rc80i (not as powerful as tc series)

STRENGTHS:
Yep.

WEAKNESSES:
Nope

REVIEW:
I know everyone hears differntly. I have read reviews where people claim the speaker they own is the best. Only to be greatly disappointed when sampling a pair for myself. I have sensitive ears. I can typically hear details that others can not. I am so picky about sound that I often just settle for speaker because I get sick of trying to find outstanding sound.
These speakers do not provide much bottom end when compaired to larger speakers with bigger price tags. However, I tested these speakers against multiple speakers in many differnt price ranges and brands. When these played I closed my eyes and my head was filled with amazingly clear detailed sound. I like them better than most speakers that cost much more. Including towers and bookshelf speakers. Price was not that important at the time of purchase. Sound was. I could have spent more, but so far I can not see any reason why I would. Not sure they are priced right for the high quality sound they produce but whos complaining. Each of you will likely have differnt requirements for speakers. Clairity was more important than bass. And at this price or even a higher price these are amazing. I have a powered sub. It does just fine filling the gap. These are my back four speakers.

STRENGTHS:
LOUD AND CRISP..(with a 12-15 ft ceiling)

WEAKNESSES:
Not good with a tall ceiling 20ft+

REVIEW:
Great speaker... I have six of these, good quality. but the 3 surrond speakers are not loud enough. my ceiling is 22ft. The front 3 are perfect wish i would have upgraded the 3 surrond ones. my onkyo SR504 and PSW 505 are a perfect match....

REVIEW:
A few Months ago, I bought 3 pair's of the rc60i for my new home and my wife and I are very impressed. As well as my family and friends. I study many speakers and I found that these were the best quality and price for my needs. I also have in my home, 8 other polkaudio speakers that I am very proud to own.

STRENGTHS:
Simple installation. Sound clarity and range. Price. American product.

WEAKNESSES:
N/A

REVIEW:
These are impressive. Full spectrum, full power. I've used a set of these in a bedroom and another set as back left and right channels from a Harman/Kardon 7.1 Dolby Digital surround. Of the fifteen Polk Audio speakers I've used in my whole house audio system, the four of these RC60i's have been the most impressive. They even hit harder than my RC80i's when used in a bigger room.

   Dennis B (January 9th, 2007)

STRENGTHS:
These speakers sound great, are easy to install, and are well-built. In addition, they're affordable.

WEAKNESSES:
I don't care for the technique of removing the grill cover....using a paperclip to pry it up. Minor, I know, unless you search your entire house for a paperclip only to discover you don't have a single one!

REVIEW:
I bought these speakers for use as surround sound speakers in a 5.1 system. I finished my basement two years ago and pre-wired with 12 AWG in-wall wire, so installation was simply a matter of cutting the hole. The included cardboard templates made it very easy.

These speakers are being driven by a Pioneer VSX 816 receiver. I've got the aimable tweeters pointed at the rear wall and these speakers really get the job done as surround sound speakers. I wasn't sure what to expect by usuing in-ceiling speakers as surrounds, but I'm very happy with the results!

Overall, if your building a "budget" HT system like I was, I think these speakers will give you the best bang for your buck.

   Chris (April 21st, 2006)

STRENGTHS:
Install extremely easy and clean, clean, clean. If you can use a dremel tool you can't mess it up. Great sound.

WEAKNESSES:
None, I will be replacing my center and sub with Polk speakers.

REVIEW:
I was amazed at the sound quality from these. For an entry level hide away 7.1 system, these are probably the best bang for the buck. I used a dremel with the circle cutter attachment to cut the drywall. It took maybe five minutes per speaker to install (I already had the speaker wires ran.)

   Bill Smith (January 31st, 2005)

STRENGTHS:
Powerful, crisp full spectrum sound quality. Easy to install and conceal.

WEAKNESSES:
None that I can really think of.

REVIEW:
These speakers are incredibly crisp! They sound great with all varieties of music and provide an incredible amount of power...considering their compact size. Don't think twice about purchasing these speakers!

   Hal (January 10th, 2004)

STRENGTHS:
Installation is easy - the mounts are incredibly well designed, and the templates make the cut-outs a snap.
The quality of the construction is also impressive. These are solid, well-built speakers -- not P.A. add-ons.

WEAKNESSES:
Wish the manual had a bit more about positioning as surround speakers.

REVIEW:
I chose these for surround speakers when a new floor made running the wiring for wall speakers impossible. I thought they would be a compromise solution, but am just amazed by how good they are. They deliver a full-range sound, and the adjustable tweeter directs the sound to provide sufficient localization. They work better as surrounds than my dedicated units. They would clearly be excellent as second-room speakers.

   Cliff Court (November 2nd, 2002)

STRENGTHS:
Easy installation. Look and sound excellent

REVIEW:
For aesthetic reasons in my lounge I had to go with in-ceiling speakers as my surrounds. I have just installed the RC60i's. The speakers look wonderful and are incredibly neat. They install very easily - the wiring takes much longer than the speaker installation! One of my concerns had been that the sound from in-ceiling speakers would be limited to the area immediately below to the speaker positions. I am happy to say the RC60i's sound crisp and true, and I can hear the surround effect right at the front of my lounge as well.
