STRENGTHS:
Highs are clear/loud/strong -- I punish these speakers.
Installation procedure/mechanism is very clean/solid.
Aimable tweeters -- Utilize them!
WEAKNESSES:
Slightly concerned about the open/exposed back design in a ceiling cavity, ie if mice find their way, could be game over...plan accordingly...
REVIEW:
Going with ceiling speakers vs traditional wall/floor standing for music listening was not a quick/easy decision....not a lot of rave reviews on ceiling sound/projection in general...think cutting 8" holes throughout your living room ceiling without a lot of wiggle room to reconfigure...
Overall, keep some (loose) basics in mind, keep the speaker 2 ft from walls, no closer than 5 feet together, no further than 10 feet apart. Also keep your expectations in check, if you want bass, get a good sub to supplement, I did this before even hearing the speakers and would do so again after hearing them. So far I'm driving 4 speakers (have 10) with 80 watts a channel in a rectangular configuration/living room that is open to the extent of 20x20 and these speakers are very clear/clean and very loud... I didn't go into it expecting bass -- they excel at highs, people turn their heads like puppies when they hear a plucking guitar/vocals.

No backing to keep insulation away from the speaker.

For the price we paid you can't beat these. Sound great and install was a breeze. Highly recommend!

REVIEW:
very average. OK for background music. Try the TC60i for greater range on surround sound rear speakers. Install very easy and blend in well.
