PSW650
"…this is one great little inexpensive subwoofer…the PSW 650 did an excellent job with music and really came alive in the theatre where I never did get it to say “uncle!”
SoundStage.com, August 1999 (combined review RT35 and PSW650)
http://www.soundstage.com/revequip/polk_rt35_psw650.htm[Click here to see the full review]"Oh yes, the PSW650 is certainly capable of pumping out mass quantities of low-frequency energy. It can, when overdriven by its owner, rattle your teeth as well as your room. And yet, when properly tuned, the 650 is also capable of seamless integration with one's main speakers and of a remarkable degree of musical accuracy."
"The Polk PSW650 proved to be something of a revelation to me. I didn't expect it to be as tuneful or as satisfying as it proved to be. Given all that it offers for $699, this has got to be one of audio's best values (but be careful, you may find yourself feeling a sudden urge to indulge your, er, baser instincts)."

"When it comes to home theater applications, the PSW650 rises to the occasion. This is one powerful subwoofer. It adds a foundation of deep bass to movies that you can feel. The PSW650 brought my home theater to life."

"The Polk PSW650 is a great-looking, great-performing powered subwoofer
that costs less than $800. It rivals the performance of the best home theatre subs and is among the better vented subwoofers for music reproduction, too. If your budget for a subwoofer is under a thousand bucks, this one should be at the top of your short list. It's a darn good subwoofer and an excellent value."

"...an attractively priced subwoofer than can certainly hold its own against much more expensive units." A "Best Buy."

"The PSW650 is flat-out the most impressive subwoofer I've ever auditioned, whether for home theater or music. It's so powerful in its reproduction of bottom-end special effects, it could probably stun a terrier at 10 yards, yet it's capable of producing tight, tuneful music when Paul Chambers walks his acoustic bass behind a Coltrane solo.
Not that the LSi15s aren't capable of deep, solid bass. They are. But reinforced by the PSW650, they reproduce a bottom end you could crack an egg on. I mean solid!"

PSW450
"...within its slightly narrower constraints - and considering the price - the Polk is tuneful and attractive sounding, and it is capable of reproducing all but the very lowest frequencies available on the test recordings, films and music alike. More importantly, the output of the Polk is always fast, which helps it to blend in with the rest of the components used for the test. The test systems used sound fuller, smoother and easier on the ear with the Polk in place than when used on their own, which is a telling indication of the subwoofer's quality."
"Verdict: A strong performer that is both tuneful and attractive sounding."

PSW350
"The PSW350 clearly went plenty low for real home theater impact...It also sounded impressively even, with little or no undue emphasis on any region of bass."

PSW250
"Polk's nifty little PSW250 powered subwoofer demonstrates how far the art of entry-level subwoofer design has come. Free of typical thud-a-dud boom, this sub not only lets you hear every floor-shaking note, but it also communicates a sense of space and scale. Priced at an affordable $299.95 list, it's also an incredible value."

PSW10
"...we were so jazzed about Polk's most affordable sub, the $199 PSW10: it pounds out home-theater thrills and musical bass with equal prowess...We found its bass power definitely up to snuff...the PSW10 delivered every thump and rumble with the utmost clarity."

PSW12
"The Polk PSW12 is a great subwoofer for the money: a $300 addition to a $2000 system elevated it from merely 'good' to darn near excellent."
