RT25i
"Polk's new Reference Theater RT25
i caught me off guard. It handled all sorts of home theater hijinks with assurance, and was cool with most of my jazz and rock CDs, too. Not only does this compact speaker pair sound great, but their genuine wood veneer looks a damn sight better than the finish on most speakers in this price class."
"The spunky little RT25i's appetite for anything from punchy big band romps to power pop jaunts was near insatiable. My evaluation pair threw a wide and spacious soundstage, yet it was easy to pluck out individual players in even the most densely packed recordings. Basically, this bad boy is a remarkably open-sounding loudspeaker."

"The original RT25 was one of my favorite little inexpensive speakers. It had marvelous clarity, really excellent bass for a speaker its size and was an excellent performer for the money. The new RT25i is a little winner too."

"Tonal balance...was outstanding...very neutral and transparent, with just about zero evidence of any of the common midrange colorations..."

The report showed the excellent capacity of RT-25i. They appreciate in the high technology of tweeter, woofer and Power Port System. Though small in size, the sound quality is clear and real. The capacity in frequency response is very high and delicate. (The preceeding is a rough synopsis of the review translated from the original Thai text. Sorry, our Thai is a little rusty.)

"It [the Polk Audio RT25i] is far superior to any speaker I've heard for less than $500/pair, and has become my favorite speaker for under $1000/pair... I've never been more impressed by an inexpensive loudspeaker."

RT35i
"…the RT35
is were marvels of tonal, spatial and dynamic clarity. Not once did I lose track of the musical thread during the musicians' often highly complex interplay. This recording also allowed the RT35
is' remarkably coherent midband to shine -- it's fast, incisive, terrifically textured, and throws an open soundstage with highly accurate imaging."
" Polk's new RT35i is a most impressive bookshelf loudspeaker. The few sonic shortcomings it exhibits are minor when compared to its many strengths. Polk has been on a roll the last few years, and the RT35i keeps Polk's train right on track."

"The Polk RT35i two-way, bookshelf-sized speaker is an incredible sounding speaker at a price that brings high-end sound within reach...for the incredible sound it produces, the RT35i is worth every cent."

RT15i
"...mid-range was very smooth and vocals were reproduced naturally...they image beautifully. Acting as relative point sources, I was able to obtain very natural instrument sizes with good orchestral depth, height, and width.
If you're in the market for a small bookshelf speaker, give these a listen."

RT35
"Soundstaging was one of the first things that stuck me. These budget priced speakers were throwing an excellent soundstage, extending well beyond the boundaries of their physical locations and even the soundstage height was taller than it had any right to be."
"… this is one well-balanced, neutral and uncolored speaker for the asking price, placing it at least in the running for the title 'best in class'."
"Polk’s RT35s are one of only a few under $500/pr speakers I’d own and enjoy. If you think that this is just reviewer’s rhetoric, you should know that I happen to own four of their little brothers- the RT25s, which spend time in the theater, when I’m between review samples. As good as the RT 25s are, the RT35s represent a large improvement in terms of smoothness, dynamics and bass. Particularly when coupled with a subwoofer, their excellent dynamics, soundstaging, imaging and uncolored midrange make them a great bet for both an inexpensive music system and theater."

"I have heard few speakers at any price that could match them [RT35s] in the vocal-reproduction department."
"…the bass line was surprisingly firm and solid down to about 35 Hz(!), with no spurious noises or serious doubling that I could hear. This system also had considerably less port-wind noise than I have heard with similarly sized, ported systems, and I think we can attribute that to the power-port feature…remarkable performance…"
"I have to conclude that as a basic speaker system, the RT-35 (and by default, almost certainly the RT-55 and RT-1000P models) is an exceptional product."

RT7
"...Not only are the Polk RT7s just about the biggest-sounding, best-sounding bookshelf speakers we've heard lately... they're also among the best-looking, best finished and most versatile speakers around. Embodying breakthrough materials and design technologies they throw down a stiff challenge to anything sub-$1000 in their ability to bring a sense of lively realism and tonal accuracy to fine music and both the punch and clarity essential for dynamic movie sound."

"... the RT7s are a proverbial steal! Not only do they represent very fine sound at (very) modest cost, they're also backed by a company that's been around since 1972 - a company with an enviable reputation in the industry for suporting its product... The RT7s get my ultimate recommendation, I will be purchasing a pair for a friend..."

LSi7
"[LSi7s] offer performance that can better that of many costing more than $1000."
"[The] cabinet is crafted with jewel-like precision. It’s smaller than many speakers at this price, but it’s built to a high standard...I haven’t seen a more solidly constructed cabinet at anywhere near the LSi7's price."
"...it's a small, exquisite speaker that can play with exacting precision. It’s designed for listeners who value refinement and detail over sheer output capability...The first thing I noticed about this speaker was its clear and defined midrange. The LSi7 is smooooth, but, at the same time, marvelously textured and detailed..."
"The LSi7 is a highly resolving minimonitor that performs up to the standard of far more expensive speakers...[and] represents a solid value."

"It is rare for personalities in the audio/video realm to implicate themselves to the point of appearing in ads for their products. Matt Polk is one of these, in which he pushes the effort up to objectively inform consumers about certain qualities every acoustic speaker should possess. I call upon this critical spirit he invites us to join and propose the results of my application of one of their latest model, the LSi7."
"Here are the results I arrived at with the LSi7: a stunning result in the bass for a 13cm, a mid range lightly reserved but with precise timbre, and a natural and sweet (soft) high. These speakers are open and transparent, as well as capable of impact. This might explain that I had a sound stage of medium dimensions, without experiencing the phenomenon such as feeling the air between the musicians during a recording. But it also explains the massive and substantial sonority.
Finally the LSI7 are speakers that are very well conceived and realized with an evident concern for controlling the parasitic resonance. Their strong woodwork and their ingenuous ports minimize the frequent problem of midrange coloration. The transducers of the LSi7s are exemplary in this type of configuration and offer dynamic sonority with substance. Once broken in, these are the sort of speakers that have always made me want to listen more often to music. A little more expensive than the average of the small 2 ways, they are largely worth this little supplement."

LSi9
"The LSi9 is capable of wallop on the bottom end that is very impressive."
"The midrange has oomph that is very impressive too. Vocals rocket out of this speaker, but without being too forward. There is fullness along with wonderful smoothness."
"The center image is amazingly solid, and voices have absolutely realistic size, as they should but often don't. The width and depth of stage that these speakers create are outstanding too."
"...the Polk speaker sounds more refined in the treble. It’s smooth, clear, extended, and without a hint of grain or edge."
"They’ve hit the bull's-eye with the LSi9. Not only is it an exceedingly refined, first-class performer, it has specific sonic qualities that make it stand out in its price class."
"All this adds up to a level of performance that is ear-opening -- and at just a smidgen over $1000. I’m sure even big-speaker lovers are going to find a lot to like in this little gem."

"Sounding better than an inexpensive speaker has any right to, the Polk LSi9 is a pleasant find. Low to unnoticeable levels of compression, a sweetly extended treble, and a warm midrange (once you get above that minimum-volume threshold) make the LSi9 a natural for music or movies."
"The competition is tough in the $2000/pair category, but few buffalo roam where the LSi9 play. The Polk LSi9 is clearly a big winner."

"...the bass response and tightness is especially impressive; at the point where other speakers reach their limits, the LSi9 is able, effortlessly, to put out that 'last little bit'."

“B&W 705 matches LSi9 when it comes to tweeter and midbass, but are no way near when it comes to LSi9’s bass/muscles.”

"These speakers have a lot going for them. They’re great for home theater, providing an involving and exciting home theater experience, but at the same time will not leave you wanting one bit when used for music. Their compatibility with many different types of amplifiers (including lower powered tubes) and in large or small rooms means that they can be used successfully in a wide variety of applications. Not only that, but improvements to your upstream equipment will not go unrewarded. To top it all off, in addition to sounding fantastic, they are both attractive and very affordable."
