There are three SurroundBar models to fit almost every application. Regardless of which SurroundBar you choose, be prepared to experience full-fledged 5-channel surround sound from one speaker! First, we need to determine what your needs are and if you have any existing equipment:
1. You don't plan on using or don't have any existing electronics (5.1 receiver or amplifier).
SurroundBar 360º DVD Theater is an all-inclusive Home Theater system, including DVD player, AM/FM tuner and amplifier. SurroundBar (42" Model) and SurroundBar 50 are single speaker bars that must be used with an outboard 5.1 channel receiver and powered subwoofer. If you want an all-in-one integrated system, and don't plan on using or don't have any existing electronics, SurroundBar 360º DVD Theater is the best choice.
The 360 also includes exclusive technologies like PowerPort®, Feed ForwardTM Distortion Suppression Technology and SDA Digital Surround -- so there is no need for an additional subwoofer.
2. You already have a receiver and DVD player, or have your heart set on one.
Two passive SurroundBar models are available to meet your needs. Both are available in either black or titanium. Just add a Digital Surround Receiver, a Subwoofer, your TV and you're ready to go! Original SurroundBar (42" Model) is a great match for smaller-to- moderate size screens, while the wider SurroundBar 50 (51" wide) is best for larger screens, or for anyone who just wants bigger, more immersive sound.
SurroundBar uses Rear SDA Surround Technology. SurroundBar 50 steps up the surround sound experience, using both Front SDA Stage Array & Rear SDA Surround Technology. This setup provides a fuller, more enveloping surround experience for your listening pleasure. In addition, SurroundBar 50 uses exotic materials such as Neodymium magnets. As a result, SurroundBar 50 provides a richer surround experience, can handle more power and can play louder with greater bass capability.
