SurroundBar SDA® Instant Home Theater
Gamers, Go!
Room-Filling Surround—
No Rear Speakers. No Messy Wires.
When the lunch bell rings in the engineering cave, the Polk Audio engineers dive into ear-blasting free-for-all frag-fests, playing "Halo 3" and "Gears of War 2" -until the work whistle blows again. (We have to go back there and beat them with sticks to get them back to the CAD screens.) These are the hardcore gamers, battling for bragging rights, who designed the SurroundBar SDA IHT. They use it every day, play-acting as fierce shooters or rocking out with "Rock Band." They demand high-impact sound, and they designed it into the SurroundBar SDA IHT. So, if you're a hardcore gamer who wants dynamic surround sound impact in a compact, plug-and-play speaker system, the SurroundBar SDA IHT is for you. For the price of a few video games, you can take your gaming to a whole new level of enjoyment. The SurroundBarSDA IHT is a whole new dimension in gaming.

SurroundBar® Features
Polk's SDA® Surround Sound Technology
Here's what sets SurroundBar speakers apart from the crowd: They do not depend on room acoustics or perfect placement to achieve the desired effect thanks to patented SDA Surround Technology.
SDA stands for Stereo Dimensional Array, a patented Polk Audio exclusive*. Matthew Polk describes SDA Surround Technology as "a mixture of acoustical engineering, psychoacoustic principles and a little magic." Read Matt Polk's SDA Whitepaper for an even more in depth explanation on SDA Surround Technology.
Four models, thousands of uses.
There are four SurroundBar models to fit almost every application. Regardless of which SurroundBar you choose, be prepared to experience full-fledged surround sound from one speaker.
For the easiest application the SurroundBar SDA Instant Home Theater requires only a RCA stereo output from a TV, DVD play, or any source -- no additional electronics or wires are needed. It even comes with a wireless subwoofer and can "self learn" to work with your existing TV remote control.
If you already have a receiver and DVD player, or have your heart set on one, there are two passive SurroundBar models to meet your needs. The original SurroundBar is 42 inches long, while the SurroundBar50 was created to complement today's larger flat panel TVs. Both are available in either black or titanium. Just add a Digital Surround Receiver, a Subwoofer, your TV and you're ready to go!
If you want an easy all-in-one integrated system, and don't plan on using or don't have an existing amplifier, SurroundBar 360º DVD Theater is an all-inclusive Home Theater system that includes a DVD player, AM/FM tuner with integrated amplifier, and universal remote control.
