Job Title: Airport Retail Store Manager
 
Job Description: Manages the sales, operations, and personnel of a company retail store.
Reports to: Senior VP Sales/Marketing
Has Reporting: Retail Store Staff
Responsibilities:
  • Meet or exceed the defined sales and profit goals of the store.
  • Manage store personnel to achieve sales goals and present a positive image for the Brand
  • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and counsel store employees.
  • Create and maintain a weekly schedule.
  • Organize and direct assignments as may be needed
  • Communicate, execute, and manage marketing and merchandising programs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure the employees also provide the same level of service.
  • Resolve customer problems or complaints by determining optimal solutions that best serve the customer and the Brand.
  • Maintain, encourage and possess “ownership mentality”.
  • Create a positive environment and handle employee issues appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the store and fixtures are maintained to company standards.
  • Develop and implement employee performance evaluations and improvement plans.
  • Encourage store employees to take ownership for their performance and career development plans; follow up on a regular basis.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings.
  • Ensure employee awareness of safety and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain adequate store supplies through forecasting and managing inventories.
  • Manage store revenue, including cash handling, deposit reconciliation and delivery of deposits to bank.
  • Maintains a positive and productive working relationship with other related departments within Polk such as customer service, inside sales, and marketing.
  • Execute loss prevention programs.
  • Manage all store operational issues, including housekeeping, administrative duties, inventories, pricing, etc.
  • Order and receive spare parts for service orders, return defective parts to RMA department, file all service orders and purchase orders, review service orders for correctness in billing.
  • Ensure all sales are properly documented.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience. More extensive retail experience welcomed.
  • Experience in a consumer electronics retail setting is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively teach/develop others to next level.
  • Good merchandising skills and a flair for conceiving and implementing creative merchandising themes.
  • Skilled in operations including financial controls and inventory management.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide best-in-class level of customer service.
  • An upbeat demeanor, with a sales-oriented personality.
  • Willing to do what it takes get the job at hand done.

Job Title: Inside Sales Account Manager
 
Job Description:

Baltimore-based loudspeaker manufacturer has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Account Manager. We are seeking a motivated team player with good communication, and problem solving skills. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for promoting and assisting in the sales and services of Polk Audio products to all Polk Audio Customers (Inside and Outside the Corporation through proactive verbal, electronic and written communications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Sales order processing for Polk Audio customers, to include dealers, independent representatives, distributors, salesmen and consumers:
    1. Takes orders for Polk Audio products and enters them promptly and accurately in Manage 2000. Keeps records of orders/calls taken.
    2. Undertakes necessary measures for orders to be released and allocated/shipped in a timely fashion to meet order fulfillment goals established by Polk Audio and/or the customer. This entails working closely with the credit department, finance and shipping department to ensure that all aspects of the order fulfillment process, are realized and complied with, to include credit card charging process, scheduling orders and shipments, communicating special instructions to relevant parties, informing the appropriate parties of any problems and undertaking their resolution.
    3. Answers basic technical question concerning Polk Audio Products.
    4. Resolves with dealers such problems as product shortages, shipping discrepancies, and transportation/transactions charges,to include issuing Return Authorizations, product replacement, credits, providing freight quotes.
  2. Supports the Outside Sales organization.
    1. Works with the National Sales Manager and Outside Sales Force in the execution of new accounts. This includes undertaking all measures necessary to establish the new relationship, execution of pre-approval process, execution of dealer agreement, establishing and updating all internal administrative files/accounts/databases correctly identifying the new account and informing both customer and other departments of Polk Audio of specific services, instructions, terms or requirements.
    2. Works with National Sales Manager and Outside Sales Force in the maintenance of existing accounts, to include providing information to the accounts or the sales regional, on a regular basis,on the status of orders, products, promotions, updating all internal administrative files/accounts/databases to reflect the most recent and accurate status of the account, providing marketing materials to the account as requested or deemed necessary.
    3. Calls assigned dealers on a predetermined basis to solicit new orders and add-ons. Makes them aware of new products, promotions and other sales programs, price changes, conducts surveys, etc. Documents all such transactions in call log and communicates activities and necessary actions to/with all appropriate parties.
  3. Supports Polk's independent representatives.
    1. Acts as the liaison between independent representatives and the company.
    2. Gathers all pertinent information on potential accounts.
    3. Maintains records pertinent to rep accounts.
    4. Supplies the independent representatives with back order status reports and needed sales history.
  4. Performs other departmental related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Problem Solving

Has latitude to resolve routine problems as they arise in a prompt and professional manner.
Confers with the Sales Operations Supervisor on unusual problems/decisions.
Follows up on problems and their resolutions to ensure they have been completed to the satisfaction of all associated parties.

Education

Minimum high school education, some college such as an A.A. degree preferred.

Experience

2-3 years' experience in sales and sales administration. Some background in the stereo business preferred.
