Polk Audio introduces New PSW Powered Subwoofers
New models feature improved performance and cosmetics

Las Vegas, NV—January 8, 2007— Today at Consumer Electronics Show booth 21240 in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Polk Audio announced a new line of budget priced powered subwoofers for 2007. The three PSW Series models are Polk’s entry level high value subwoofer models and join seven other new powered subwoofers from Polk Audio being introduced at CES 2007; the largest subwoofer introduction in Polk Audio’s history. The PSW models range in price from $299 to $399. The PSW110 replaces the PSW10 while the new PSW125 replaces the PSW12. The new PSW111 is an entirely new model that packs big subwoofer performance into a compact (12-1/8”H x 11” W x 14”D) easy to place enclosure.
The new models use higher power Class AB power amplifiers than previous Polk Audio models in this price range, 100 Watts Continuous in the PSW110 and 150 Watts Continuous in the PSW111 and PSW125. Central to the high impact performance of the PSW subs are the robust forward firing drivers. 
Like all Polk drivers designed in the past few years, the PSW subwoofer drivers were designed with the help of a Klippel Distortion Analyzer, an advanced tool that uses laser technology to measure and optimize driver behavior under high output conditions. With the Klippel tool Polk engineers were able to maximize linearity, minimize distortion, flatten and extend frequency response.
All PSW models will be available in May 2007 at specialty consumer electronics retailers worldwide.
