Smooth range and clear sound.
Weaknesses:
During intense DVD video (audio) action, these speakers shake the speaker grills out of the speaker frame.
Review:
My wife said I could not use free standing speakers for our new home. She did not want to vacuum around them or their cables. I thought that was the end of HI-FI music and great theater sound. My search for a solution brought me to the AB855's. I've had these speakers installed for a year now. I'm using them for my front and for my surround speakers. WOW! These more than fill my 16' x 25' room. Very clear and steady highs and midrange, Suprisingly good lows although the wife did allow a powered sub woofer to complement the fantastic 855's. I'm HAPPY
