The Speaker for All Seasons.
The Atrium65SDI has a unique, patented* dual input/single input switch. Combined with its ingenious dual tweeter array, this switch allows the Atrium65SDI to be used either as a single high performance stereo loudspeaker, or the left-or-right speaker in a high performance stereo pair. And you can use it practically anywhere, because the Atrium65SDI also has special military spec waterproofing features, including a patented** waterproof PowerPort® bass vent.
Atrium65SDI Features:
The Atrium65SDI is packaged one to a carton and priced as each.
Unique dual input/single input feature: A rear mounted switch allows the Atrium65SDI to operate as a single, dual-input speaker for stereo applications, or a traditional single-input speaker for left or right use.
6 1/2-inch (16.5cm) long throw polymer cone driver with butyl rubber suspension for superior bass and midrange response.
Dual voice coil driver for stereo play.
Two 1-inch (25mm) dome tweeters with neodymium magnets for accurate high frequencies.
Dual tweeter array with stereo tweeter aiming for excellent imaging whether used as a single stereo speaker, or as half of a stereo pair.
PowerPort® bass venting delivers high efficiency and extraordinary bass response in a modest cabinet size. This specially designed PowerPort includes a bugscreen protector for nominal waterproofing and for keeping critters out of the cabinet.
Stainless steel and brass hardware for years of rustproof reliability.
Meets or exceeds ASTM D5894-UV Salt Fog, Mil standard 810 Immersion and Mil standard 883 Method 1009.8 for salt and corrosion tests.***
Rustproof aluminum bracket allows multiple mounting options and full 90° rotation: aim the Atrium65SDI to deliver the best possible sound in a variety of locations, either as a stereo loudspeaker or as half of a stereo pair.
Rustproof aluminum grille with 55% open area for superior sound quality.
Sculpted front baffle and rounded enclosure minimize diffraction (sound reflections off of hard edges) for more open and lifelike imaging.
Available in either black or paintable white finishes to match any decor inside or out.
The Atrium65SDI has a patented* dual crossover network that is enabled or disengaged via the simple switch located over the binding post connectors. It sums the complete stereo signal (left and right) or the single left or right signal and mixes the signal to the appropriate tweeter or tweeters for the best performance, smoothest blending and most detailed imaging of any multi-application speaker.
For single speaker stereo performance where a pair of speakers is inconvenient, or as a pair of speakers where high performance, weather-resistant speakers are needed, listen to the Atrium65SDI.
All Polk products are made using the best materials and the most advanced manufacturing techniques. They pass the industry’s most exhaustive quality tests, including drop testing, extreme signal response and UV & salt exposure testing. Polk loudspeakers are built to perform for a lifetime.

Great bass response, excellent sound at all volume levels, easy installation.
Weaknesses:
- Problem with one of the front grills that kept coming off, but Polk sent me a new one with no questions asked - great customer service - Hard to find a retailer that sells them, but well worth the search.
Review:
I looked hard and long for a good pair of outdoor speakers and was extemely dissapointed with the sound quality of the many I tested and listened to. Even other top of the line speakers from other quality brands like Bose, Boston Acoustics etc were dissapointing. I knew before I made any decision, I needed to check out the 65SDi's. I am glad I did as I was blown away by the sound of these speakers. It is indoor quality in an outdoor speaker. Many of my friends even commented on the oustanding sound quality of these speakers. The base response is excellent, which is tough to find in an outdoor speaker. Highly recommended. They are worth the money.

Review:
I am blown away with the sound of these! I replaced some Infinity Bookshelf speakers with these out on my covered deck in order to avoid ruining the Infinitys in the weather. I got an added bonus of even better sound. Even my wife notices the difference. I highly recommend them. They play loud, but sound great at lower listening levels too! You'll love them!

Review:
These speakers are excellent. Before I finally heard and decided to buy them, I thought they were a little pricy. I investigated between 2 other manufacturers, 1)Boston Acoustics for the Voyager 7 (which was about the same price range), and 2)B&W Outdoor Speakers (which was about 100.00 less) I was testing them for a day or two in the store with my favorite music and other genres to really test the limitations of the speakers.......And then, I heard these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just couldn't believe my ears. It didn't take me long to make my decision about them, and I have them hooked up under the eves in the back of my house, by my patio. When I turned the volume up, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It sounded like I was inside listening to my indoor speakers. I was brought up to believe, that you can only get so much sound from an Outdoor speaker. Well, these defy the odds. They are well worth the money!!!!

Review:
Never listen to them before, but brought them anyway(because its came in white). I have a bar and Restaurant in Bangkok Thailand that needed white speakers. I was looking around for a while, then Polk name came up. I went to the polk dealer and listened to other speakers by Polk Audio. We love it, but worry about the sound of the atrium. We were told by the dealer that it have as good sound as the indoor one.The dealer have too special order atrium 65sdi in white for me. We brought 2 pairs to put it in the restaurant. We also have two sub and the old bose system. The Atrium are a lot better than the old bose system. These speakers are really good. Smooth sound with punchy midbass. It's go well w/ sub.
