The CS275 matches all Polk main speakers which use the Tri-laminate (silver) 1"dome tweeter, including RT Series towers. It features:
- Magnetically shielded for safe placement next to TVs without picture interference
- Low profile design allows unobtrusive placement on top of TVs
- Dynamic Balance drive units ensure correct timbre matching to other Polk speakers for seamless, life-like imaging
- Clear, detailed highs from Polk's Tri-laminate dome tweeter made of polymer with vapor deposited micro-layers of stainless steel and aluminum
- Angled cabinet allows speaker to be pointed upward when placed in a low position (such as on a cabinet shelf under the TV)
- Non-metallic driver basket for the best possible magnetic shielding
- Fluid cooled tweeter provides the high power handling essential for center channel speakers

Contrary to popular opinion, the center speaker is not just for reproducing dialog. Since all on-screen action, including explosions, gunshots and sound effects as well as dialog, must be faithfully reproduced and anchored to the TV screen, not just any speaker will do.

Designing a speaker to address all these criteria is a tall order. How do you build an uncolored high performance speaker capable of handling lots of power, magnetically shield it and then package it into a compact, unobtrusive enclosure? Tight midrange and solid performer at normal listening levels. Perfect for movies, great with dialog.
Weaknesses:
Louder levels tends to sound a little bright with some loss of bottom end oumph! Multi-Channel music could use bigger speaker with my system.
Review:
I've had this speaker since 1998 and have had no problems with it. I use LS90's and LSfx's for the other channels and a big Paradigm Reference Servo-15 sub. I Power the CS275 with a Rotel RSX 1065. A little small for my setup, probably better off with the CS350. Still keeps up very well, never distracting from the rest of my system, unless played at very loud levels.
