The High Performance Heart of Home Theater
The CSiA4 is a high performance center channel speaker for smaller rooms and challenging placement situations. It features two 5 1/4-inch Dynamic Balance® drivers, one 1-inch Dynamic Balance dome tweeter for spot-on imaging, seamless soundstage and natural sounding voices. With the asymmetric cabinet design, you gain the flexibility to placing the CSiA4 above or below the TV and aim it at your position.
The CSiA4 Features:
The proprietary curved, 6-layer DAHLI enclosure design creates the optimal shear damping for a more rigid, acoustically inert enclosure and minimal cabinet resonances. CSiA4 cabinets are designed for clean, accurate sound.
Klippel motor optimization uses laser measurement technology to ensure a smooth excursion path at either end of the volume spectrum for uniform performance at both low and high volumes.
Polk’s proprietary, patented Dynamic Balance technology allows our engineers to design out distortion-causing driver and system resonances, so you only hear the good sounds.
Durable, computer-modeled, injection-molded butyl rubber surrounds suppress unwanted cone resonances for a lifetime of reliable sound.
The RTiA Cascade Tapered Crossover eliminates the comb filtering and beaming, common to multi-driver speakers, which degrades the quality of the audio and collapses the soundstage.
Patented Acoustic Resonance Control® (ARC) technology suppresses cabinet resonance that causes distortion to ensure clear and natural sound.
Beautiful curved furniture-grade hardwood veneer cabinet finishes, with sleek trim accents in black or cherry.
Computer-modeled anti-diffraction grilles enhance the good looks while minimizing sonic interference.
All Polk loudspeakers are timbre-matched within their series, designed with the same components throughout, to achieve seamless speaker-to-speaker blending effects in multi-channel systems.
Gold-plated, professional-style 5-way binding posts, for the most secure connection options.
All Polk products are made using the best materials and the most advanced manufacturing techniques. They pass the industry’s most exhaustive quality tests, including drop testing, extreme signal response and UV & salt exposure testing. Polk loudspeakers are built to perform for a lifetime.

Awesome sound. Exceptional bass and great highs with this unit.
I have this with a pair LC65i and a pair of TC65i. The center channel has better bass than I thought. And it sounds far better then my Kliptch system. I use a Pioneer VST81 receiver and a Polk 12' Sub. The system center pieced by the A4 sounds awesome... I'm a Polk fan for life.

The finish, each size of the box if covered by an independent layer (simulated black wood). Each border is aligned by hand, therefore there are little border mistakes. Most of the corners are curved and should be separated with time. I prefer the monitor series finish. I did check three units before to buy and all are the same.
Excellent sound, in both music and movies. It is working with a Yamaha receiver RX-V861,a pari of Monitor 60 (Tower), a set of FXi-A4 and Velodyne DLS-R3750 subwoofer. I read in some bad reviews about CSi3 related to music performance. This unit sound great in both. The dynamic range is deep and the balance between bass and treble is ok. Stylized line.
The veneer on the CSiA/RTiA line is real wood. The Monitor series uses the simulated vinyl.

Build quality, bass response, and clarity.
None that I've noticed
I absolutely LOVE my new center channel. I intend to upgrade to all RTi speakers. There is a level of clarity and detail that I didn't have before. And, the bass response REALLY surprised me!

Just bought this speaker to go along with my 5.1 system and is excellent. Great design matches the rest of my system and the sound is superior to all previous center channels i have owned. Great speaker

Sound Stage Xperience, April 2010
"...Whether placed atop or below my display, voices sounded clear and concise through the CSi A4, with lifelike presence. The off-axis sound, too, was excellent...a sound almost entirely free of coloration, clear and articulate and devoid of any dreaded boxiness..."

"For multichannel listening, the CSi A4 center made a solid match to its mates. Tonality was well balanced with the RTi A3 pair..."
