Bass Performance That's Out of Sight
The Polk CSW100 is the least visually intrusive built-in subwoofer on the market today. It's designed for in-floor, in-ceiling or in-furniture placement. It fits comfortably between standard joists and the narrower QuietFloor spacing. Once installed, all you see is a tiny 4 1/2x14-inch grille (supplied). Visitors to your home will think they're seeing an air vent and they'll wonder where all that awesome bass is coming from!
CSW100 Features:

Review:
I have all in Wall Speakers in my Home. After trying Several Powered Subs from Various Mfg's including Polks DSW 1000, I have decided to give the In wall CSW100 A try. I am glad I did. This is the Best Bass I have ever heard!!! It is Clean,Powerful,Punchy and very Articulate!!I have it installed in the Floor. It is in the Front center wall under the T.V. This is the Best place for this woofer. My system never sounded better. It is perfectly blended and balanced with the rest of the in wall speakers.

Great bottom, I use the Denon AVR-4306 to tune the room (first we set the SWA500 Amp to mid level), and it all came together beautifully.
Weaknesses:
This is a two man installation, strongly suggest you prepare properly. I added 2x4 bracing below the speakers for added support.
Review:
Heard this in a trade show (EHX-Orlando) and it sounded real good. I proposed this product to a customer and the outcome was like hitting a home-run. My clients comment was " Its Sounds Fabulous" and I totally agree.

Installation procedures could be better
Review:
I have used several of these in custom home theatre jobs. Very good output from a 10" driver. Bandpass vented through a small register grille is very smart. For both new and retrofit installations I rarely install them as Polk suggests however. I use a lateral brace between the floor joists on either end of the enclosure, then put screws through the lateral braces into the Polk enclosure. Also we use sealant around the opening of the vent and let it dry before installing the grille cover. New construction is tricky as you are trusting framers/flooring installers to be careful with your product... Overall a good investment.
