The db1040DVC subwoofer employs a 10-inch driver and has dual voice coils for more wiring options and greater power handling. The subwoofer has been optimized for high performance in virtually any enclosure type: sealed, vented and band pass.

State-of-the-art laser-based Klippel measurement technology perfectly centers the subwooferrsquo;s voice coil in the magnetic field, improving X-max and BL linearity, and the sub’s micro and macro dynamics, for deep, precise, bass!
Black matte-finish composite cones are unbelievably stiff for real gut-pounding bass.
Injection molded ABS dust cap also stiffens the cone to suppress unwanted resonance for incredible low distortion, high impact bass response.
Big beefy magnet structure and motor assembly for high output bass with tight control.
Durable butyl rubber surround for consistent, reliable performance.

Just got 2 10" subs and they sound great and the response is alot better than my rockford p1's they can go very loud without distorting and love the sound quality.

These subs are great. I have three in the trunk of my Buick and these things quake. They dont need much power to them (I'm running them on a 1000w amp at 2ohm). They hit every note played especially with rap music. Never heard of Polk Audio until I heard them in a car that was getting them installed in the stereo shop I was at and I knew I had to get them! Best speakers for the price, for sure!

I just tried this subwoofer with my home sub. I replaced the woofer in my home sub woofer powered box. It was a trial. It is working well and the required amount of bass is produced with this sub. I am happy with this beautiful piece.
