We’d like to say we won’t bore with the details. But sometimes making a sub better is all about the details. Such is the case with our single 12-inch db1212 sub enclosure. We took what we knew worked from our hugely successful db212, did a little refining to make this next generation more impressive, then added even more blow-you-away performance. The result is a single 12-inch sub enclosure that churns out a wall of bass.
Incredible Sound, Affordable Price
Polk has done all the work for you. All you do is mount and wire in the db1212 enclosure and turn up the bass. All the Polk technology that makes it a db subwoofer is here, plus the attention to detail that create the legendary Polk reliabiity.
db1212 Features:
High power handling 360 Watts continuous and 720 Watts peak.
Side vented slot port provides thunderous bass and allows greater air displacement then round port designs while keeping the enclosure slim.
Extensively braced trapezoidal MDF enclosure eliminates performance-robbing box flex.
Nickel plated heavy duty input terminals accommodate speaker wire up to 8 AWG or twisted pairs of 12 AWG.
Viscoelastic isolation damping between the baffle and cabinet prevent any unwanted vibrations or buzzes when the subwoofer is driven hard.
Rugged automotive grade black carpet provides an attractive and durable enclosure finish.
Heavy duty automotive grade ABS grille provides awesome looks but also protection for the woofer.
Paintable grille and baffle look great as is, or may be matched to your vehicle’s color.
2 ohm impedance maximizes amplifier power.
Compact dimensions fit in virtually any vehicle. dB1212 is 17 1/4-inches W x 14-inches H x 17-inches D at the top and 18-inch deep at the bottom and weighs 40 lbs.
Klippel optimized component using a state-of-the-art Klippel distortion analyzer, Polk engineers were able to optimize the woofer’s motor structure, voice coil alignment and suspension for the best possible performance, even at extreme listening levels.
Dynamic Balance® composite woofer cone feature tremendous stiffness-to-mass ratio. Lower mass means faster transients and finer detail.
High-roll santoprene rubber surround provides reliability in the temperature extremes of a vehicle.
Fire retardant NOMEX® inner suspension increases reliability while providing extended cone travel.

Well this product was AMAZING... while it lasted. I had it for about 4 months when it just stopped working one day so i took it to Fry's where i bought it and they replaced it free of charge well here i am 4 months later with another broken sub.
Polk Response:
If the subwoofer stopped working (especially twice), then it is being driven too hard to the point of failure.

This sub pounds harder than most other subs in the car audio industry. Much better than power acoustik and jl In my opinion. I have it on a 200rms amp but it can handle much more!!!! Over all I LOVE THIS SUB!!!!!

I have this in my Lexus and love it. It is hooked up to a Orion amp pushing about 350 watts rms. It is an all around great sounding sub. I don't have it set up to draw attention to myself, but it could be VERY loud if I so desired. It is very clean and sounds good with ALL types of music. It can get incredibly low but still be very "punchy" and quick. It is great at reproducing the sounds... not just noise. It compliments the music very well.

Bought recently from Tweeter before it went under and got the floor model by accident. Sub worked great till it blew today. Talked to product support and there sending me a new one. Couldnt be happier with the service. I would definitely recommend buying one.
