- Polypropylene cone with rigid ABS dustcap to stiffen the cone for greater mechanical stability and lower distortion.
- Marine Certified Polk db Series speakers are built tough to withstand the toughest environments so they are perfect for use in boats of all types. That's why Correct Craft offers Polk Audio speakers in their award-winning Nautiques ski and wakeboarding boats.
- Santoprene surround is impervious to extremes in temperature, humidity and exposure to sunlight for excellent long term reliability.
- Fire-retardant flat NOMEX Spider allows extended linear motion while providing highly reliable mechanical and thermal stability.
- Double venting of the 4-layer Kapton Voice Coil Former, Cone/Coil Coupler and Pole Piece contribute to the high power handling and reliability of the db Series subs.
- As with all Polk Audio subwoofers, the voice coil alignment, motor and suspension were optimized using a state-of-the-art Klippel laser analyzer. The result is superior cone travel linearity for flatter response and lower distortion.

I HAD 10'' DB A LONG TIME AGO AND HAD VERY GOOD LUCK WITH THEM. THIS DO NOT COMPARE. THIS 12'' DB ARE AWESOME. I BUILT A BOX FOR 3 OF THEM AND THEY HIT SO HARD AND CRISP.

Review:
The sound quality is great. I was very impressed with the sub in the begining. However after having it for about two weeks the wires runing from the voice coils to the terminals snaped off due to the lack of slack on the wire. I added an inch or so and re-soldered it back to the terminal. Works great now and havent had any other problems since.

I originally bought this for a gmc reg cab because they sounded good and didnt require much airspace. I later put them in an extended cab S-15 with a 600 watt sony xplod amp and made a bigger box about three cubic feet for two of them. They hit really good for the wattage but im still need to get the bigger amp they require for the full bass, And some dynomat.

this thing pounds..i have two in in ported box with an orion 900.2 etreme amp powering them. These things are incredible..they sound great and rattle everything.

I have to say that I was impressed just taking it out of the box. It is in a reg cab s10 with a mtx 500d amp pushing 775 wats at 2ohm .84 box. For the money its a great deal and it hits hard. Had a boston generator that cost twice as much and this is as good if not better

I AM TOTALLY AMAZED BY THIS SUB! I HAVE MY SUB WIRED AS 2OHMS AND IT'S HOOKED UP TO AN AUDIOBAHN A800T AMP, WHICH IS PUSHING THIS THING AT 800RMS!! BE SURE TO HAVE THE WINDOWS FULLY DOWN WHEN PUSHING THIS THING!

I've had this sub for a month, and it never did sound right to me. So i swapped it from a bandpass box to a sealed box. a big improvement but then it had some sort of rattle and i noticed it was the Cone coming detached from the rubber that surrounds it, NOT COOL! Luckily for me Polk has AWESOME customer service and swapped it out for a new one HASSLE FREE. They even let me drive down to the service center to exchange it!! Im very impressed by how this sub sounds. i have 300 watts RMS running to this sub and it pounds!! SON! for the price and the customer service you can beat it!

Pounds great...bought 2 db 12's and the polk audio ported box. Hits the notes pretty good looks great also.
