This speaker has great clarity and loudness for its size.
Weaknesses:
I haven't found any yet.
Review:
This is a great speaker when amplified. I know how frustrating it is having 4" x 6" speakers in your car stock, but if you are going to replace them and want the best speaker available in that size, this speaker is perfect. It is very clear and doesn't distort when I turn the volume all the way up, and is loud at the same time.

Marine rated 2-way Great upgrade from stock Sound great on an amp. Sound better than stock on the head unit HPF built into the speaker (might be a weakness for enthusiasts)
Weaknesses:
Un-moveable/positionable tweeter. Low wattage? That's about all I can think of. These sounded the best at frys when I tried them out. Plus I've never heard of infinity, and the kickers were just too old (old style cone and rubber and what not)
Review:
I have these in a 1996 GMC jimmy. The factory wiring has the front dash and door speakers wired together The stock dash lines have a high pass filter. I guess it was a component system, but the stock speakers sounded like crap, I don't know why they even bothered. I threw the stock speakers out, just as I did on my 88 mustang. I hooked just the dash up through custom speaker wires one time and these sounded GREAT They don't sound as good with the bridged or whatever stock wiring so I am going to have to run each line by itself. I also have the DB561 6.5's in the doors. I would not buy these again, only because they are not component. But then again, I still don't know that much. I just know a component speaker is better because you can have the mid-bass separate from the tweeter which results in not having to choose from high pass or low pass. I'm not sure if you would want to run these on an amp, because of that. Maybe just run these on the stock head unit for added clarity. They do sound better on an amp though...

Soft dome tweeter with 12db per octave crossover. High rolled rubber surround
Weaknesses:
None
Review:
Been in the stereo business for 25 years and this is the best sounding 4x6 I have ever listened to. They produce the best midbass sound (for being a midrange)And the tweeter was really smooth and blended well with the woofer. Plus it is the only 4x6 I have ever seen with a 12db per octave crossover on the tweeter.
