Low-mass 2-layer 25mm Kapton voice coil former is lightweight for high sound output. Kapton’s high melting temperature (725°F/400°C!) ensures high power handling and kick-butt reliability.

Put a set of these in the back of my 03 GM fullsize pickup to replace the factory cheapies. What an improvement! These are small speakers so don't expect huge bass response, but the soaring highs and crisp sound complement the front speakers nicely. Install was pretty straightforward with supplied hardware; yeah, you have to drill the holes so make sure you use a centerpunch and a sharp 1/8" drill bit.

Nice speaker. Well made and crystal clear. I used bass blockers which I'd recommend. Installed in a 91 Sonoma and had trouble fitting in the front due to the dept. Just modified the grille mounts to get a little extra room and squeezed them in.

I installed 2 sets of the 4x6 plate speakers in my jeep yj. 2 in the dash and 2 in the soundbar ( had to trim the soundbar metal for the tweeter section of the speakers to sit flat) along with a jvc head unit that lets me control the bass, treb and mid tones and these speakers are just perfect. the bass output from these are very nice. I'm told alot that my music sounds nice from people.
